Q: Can I still join the club if I am not interested in riding?
A: Yes! You can be a member of the club and participate in unmounted equine activities (horse care/maintenance, barn tasks, and even just bonding with the horses!).
Q: What activities and events does the club host?
A: The club hosts a variety of activities and events such as social events, fundraisers, game nights, and horsemanship activities (horse care and maintenance).
Q: Do I need to have my own horse to participate in the club?
A: No. The barn we ride at provides horses for our members. In fact, the majority of riders do not own a horse.
Q: What barn does the club ride at?
A: We ride at Ashford Farm.
Q: Does the club compete?
A: No. The club does not compete in any competitions.
Q: Do I have to pay dues to be a member of the club?
A: Yes. There is a bi-monthly club fee of $15.

Q: What are the requirements to be a member?
A: Members must be enrolled at Bryn Mawr College as an undergraduate student, and (a) attend a minimum of two club meetings each academic year, (b) participate in a minimum of three riding lessons and/or club activities, and (c) pay their bi-monthly club dues.
Q: Does the club subsidize lessons?
A: No. Members are expected to pay for their own lessons. The barn the club rides at charges $80 per group lesson and $90 per semi-private lesson. For more information regarding payment, rates, and packages, please visit the barn’s website.

Q: How can I schedule lessons?
A: Visit the barn’s website for more information on scheduling lessons. Please note, the barn is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Q: What should I wear to the barn/for my lesson?
A: You MUST wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet while mounted. Riders are also required to wear riding pants or jeans and English riding boots (paddock or tall). Riders CANNOT wear tank/crop/halter/spaghetti strap tops, shorts, sneakers, or cowboy boots. Close toed, protective shoes are required for ground (unmounted) activities.
Q: Does the club offer transportation to the barn?
A. Yes. The club has a van that can transport riders to and from the barn. More information regarding transportation will be provided upon joining the club.
